About Grace

Welcome to Grace United Church of Christ of O’Fallon.

We’re so glad you’re browsing our website, and hope that you find here something that will invite you to come and explore Grace first hand. Poet Maya Angelou has written that when she meets someone who tells her they are a Christian, her response is “Already?”, meaning that she understands that being a Christian is a journey, not a destination, not a once and for all done deal. Each of us finds ourselves in our own unique place on that path.

At Grace we invite you to come and explore opportunities for worship, education, fellowship, and service that will support you on your journey. Recognizing that each of us is shaped by our life experiences and influences, participation in Grace does not demand that anyone subscribe to a particular set of rules for Christian conduct. Every Sunday you will hear and read the words, “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” We do our level human best to live these words every day.

Grace is a place where you can explore your faith, ask questions, experience an inclusive community, and find a place to share your gifts, engage in dialogue, deepen your sense of purpose, and find a point of connection between belief, relationships, and the challenges of living in an ever-changing world. Come and find out for yourself why those who come and stay say the thing that keeps them at Grace is “the people.”
