Christmas Eve COVID Exposure

Christmas Eve COVID Exposure

Greetings and Peace Grace Faithful,

We have been notified that we have been exposed by a person in worship on Christmas Eve. That person has been diagnosed with COVID. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the virus is spread mainly between people who are in close contact with one another (less than 6 feet apart for 15 minutes or longer) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.

Your Council President, Cindy Rose, and I are not overly concerned but neither are we medical experts. The information is changing quickly, and it can feel overwhelmingly confusing. But should you feel unwell, please remember if you experience symptoms of respiratory illness (fever, coughing or shortness of breath), please contact your health care provider. Our congregation practices safe COVID protocol with masks when any person is walking about, during singing, we do not pass communion or offering plates, and our sanctuary is sanitized between worship services. That is why we are not overly concerned.

Please remember though, if at any point you develop symptoms consistent with COVID (fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, night sweats, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, muscle or body aches, headaches, confusion, or loss of sense of taste/smell), contact your doctor immediately. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact Council President Cindy Rose or Pastor Polly McWilliams on their cell phones. Either of us is happy to answer as we have information by text or email. If you choose to call and cannot get an immediate answer, please leave a voicemail, your call will be returned.

We are praying for the one with COVID, the family, and our Grace Family. Thank you for doing the same. May God’s healing peace in Christ be with us all during this confusing time.

In Christ’s Service with You and Sent with Love,

Cindy Rose and Pastor Polly
